SaaS and MVP cost guide
SaaS MVP development cost in India depends less on technology than on restraint. The founders who spend least are the ones who decide, in writing, what the first version will not do. This guide explains where the money goes and how to hold it back.
CodingMarble builds SaaS products and MVPs remotely from India on Node.js, PHP, Next.js and React. A SaaS product has no fixed package; it is quoted individually with a fixed USD price. A small app MVP does have one, at USD 480.

SaaS proper
Accounts, workspaces, subscription billing, roles and an admin console make a SaaS a system, not a site. The price is fixed in a written scope once those parts are defined.
Undecided
Founders rarely need an opinion on frameworks. Tick Let Ranjeet decide in the brief and the stack is chosen for hosting cost, hiring ease and how the product is likely to grow.
Where the money goes
The feature you are excited about is usually a minority of the build. The rest is the plumbing every SaaS needs: sign-up, email verification, password reset, workspaces, roles, subscription billing, invoices, an admin console and transactional email. It is the reason a web app development cost is higher than a website with the same number of screens.
Then comes the core workflow itself, and here complexity varies enormously. A form that stores records is light. Scheduling, document generation, calculations with rules, file processing or anything real-time is heavier. Third-party APIs add their own risk, since your product now depends on their limits and pricing.
Cutting scope
An MVP is cheap when it does one job completely, not when it does ten jobs badly. Pick the single workflow a customer would pay for and build it end to end. Postpone team features, integrations, mobile apps and custom reports. Most of them can be handled by hand, by you, for the first twenty customers.
Billing is a good example. A full subscription system with plans, proration and dunning is weeks of work. A first version can take payment by link and have an admin switch that activates the account. It lets you learn whether anyone will pay before you automate the collecting. The written scope marks such items as phase two, with their own price.
Year one
The build is one payment; running the product is many small ones. Expect hosting, a database, file storage, transactional email, a domain, error monitoring and the payment provider share of each sale. These are paid by you directly to each provider, from accounts in the name of your company. They grow with usage, not with time.
The larger year one cost is change. Real users will ask for things you did not plan, and some of those requests will be right. There is no fixed package for ongoing development or maintenance; each round of changes is quoted in writing with a fixed USD price. Holding back part of your budget for this is wiser than spending all of it on launch.
What is covered
Six parts, all in writing, before any payment.
A step-by-step description of what a paying user does from sign-up to result. Everything else in the quote exists to support this single path.
Whether customers are individuals or teams, how workspaces are separated, and which roles exist. This decision shapes the database and is costly to change later.
Payment links with manual activation, or full subscriptions with plans and renewals. The provider account is yours, and their charges are billed to you directly.
The internal screens you use to see customers, fix data, issue credits and switch features on. Often forgotten in early estimates, always needed in week one.
Where the product runs, a staging copy for testing, backups and deployment. Infrastructure stays in your name so the business owns what it depends on.
Everything deliberately left out, written down with reasons. It becomes the basis for the next fixed quote, once real usage tells you what actually matters.
